the che family
Another brilliant, two doctor family (with maybe a third one someday). They will soon be moving out of New York, on to other doctor adventures in a new state. They are really excited for their big move this summer, but how they can give up that view, I don’t know. Well, I guess for more space and a yard for their adorable son who is a busy boy, the view isn’t so important.

new pets
Not too much to say tonight, other than really….WTF!!!????? The Lost season finale was so awesome and so confusing. Craziness…moving the island. And I totally cried when Penny and Desmond found eachother. The best! Love, love this show and now I have to wait til January? NOT FAIR.
Just editing, trying to catch up on business, getting ready for the party here tommorrow night and the other usual stuff. In trying to get the house all spiffed up, I did a ton of planting yesterday and made a new friend.
Some of you may know we had been considering getting a puppy over the last week or so. But after doing a bunch of research on the whole training a puppy thing, we have decided now is not the time. Maybe in a year or so. Or not at all. It’s just so much work. We were looking at a schnoodle (mix between a schnauser and a poodle). Our around the block neighbors have one and he is soooooo cute. We were going to get the one on the left. Come on, you know he’s adorable. I’m just not ready for more potty training since we only just finished with Timmy’s a few months ago.
So for now, I’m sticking with the snail.

the bol family
Had a blast with this super cute family last weekend- seriously, grandma & grandpa couldn’t be any more fun! The little girl was just a bundle of energy. Mom told me she was short an hour on her nap that day– you sure couldn’t tell! She really liked the horse and it was a little hard getting her away from him, but we managed to and she had lots of fun running and jumping and just generally being the center of attention. You can totally tell how much this little one is adored by her whole family.
Love the light in this one.

wheel charmer
The owners and partners of the racehorse were invited to a brunch to visit with the horse and see how she’s progressing. And she’s progressing really well, which hopefully means she will be racing soon. At Belmont! She had been at Belmont for a while last year but she kinda just didn’t want to run anymore (sounds like Jack, right??!! Ya know, that’s my son who wants to play soccer but without running.) so they moved her to a facility in Old Brookville so she could still train but at a reduced cost.
She looked great (bigger and more muscular) and was so patient with everyone around her feeding her carrots, petting her, and taking her picture (see, it wasn’t just me with the camera!). She really is good at posing for pictures. Let’s hope that means that she will be in the winners circle sometime soon for the real thing!
The boys had a great time with "their" horse and are both really into feeding and petting her. Timmy enjoyed the horse…until….
Yup, he got horse-sneezed on! You can even see the snot/spit flying in the picture, not to mention his face of utter disgust (Jack’s too). Poor kid…everyone was laughing and he was crying. He didn’t like the horse much after that, but they made up later in the morning.

weekend recap & umbrella overload
First, for the weekend recap…it was busy and fun. And sunny and nice. There is officially hope that summer is almost here. And that also means that my allergies should be improving soon.
- The boys were off school Friday, John took the day off (he had his repeat/repeat MRI appt). Met Jen & her kids for a pizza lunch so Timmy got in some BFF time. Got the oil changed in my car (exciting, huh?) and John took the big boys to a Yankee game that night.
- Saturday we had brunch with the boys racehorse…it was fun and great to see the horse again. She’s getting so big. More on that later this week with pictures. Had a photoshoot on Saturday evening that went really well. Editing now and hoping to post later this week too.
- Sunday I had a photo shoot in Long Island City (fantastic views of the whole Manhattan skyline- loving that!) with a great little family. Again, hopefully posting pix later this week sometime. Kinda lazed out the rest of the day and tried to catch up with some editing. Ended up having an hour + catch with the boys in the backyard. Jack is way more patient with me than Patrick (okay, I’m not nearly what you would call athletic). Patrick laughs when I miss the ball or throw "like a girl". Jack is very encouraging. And man, that kid can catch pop ups like crazy! Watched the whole Indy 500 just cause I wanted to see Danica win, but she didn’t. Loved how she tried to go after the driver who crashed her, though. Girls got spunk!
- Hit the beach today at long last. Set up the locker and cleaned it out with lots of help from John. Went down to the sand for a bit, but it was sooooo windy; we didn’t last long. Went up to the playground instead and had eyeballs and a mouth full of flying sand. But, I really didn’t care…it was just so nice to be back and in the sun. We all got a little color. Timmy LOVES the beach and had a great time and didn’t want to leave. He fell asleep hard in the car and slept from 4:30-5:45 when we had to wake him up.
Leaving you with an overload of umbrella pictures from last Thursday at the boys baseball game. Had to do something to keep Timmy occupied. A few shots of the boys during the game, too. And yes, I bought the polka dot umbrella specifically to take pictures with.
