baseball
Trying to catch up on all my personal pictures, too! The boys started baseball like ummm……two weeks ago, and I’m just getting to post them now. Yikes!
They are having a great time this year and I think they are really enjoying being the older kids on the team this year. John is a coach again (which the boys told him they are really happy about and that they really like that he’s at every game) and I think he actually enjoys it. Except for his back hurting. And the juggling to get them to the games is interesting. They have soccer and baseball games on the same day, plus with me working every weekend, we’ve required a lot of grandma’s and uncle nelson’s help with coordinating schedules and Timmy’s naps. But, luckily they can help out or else we would be in big trouble.
The boys told me their favorite positions this year are: Jack= catcher, 2nd base & pitcher and Patrick= 1st base, 3rd base & center field. Their hitting and fielding skills have improved a lot since last year. They’ve only played in one game so far this season (out of two- they missed one cause they went to a Mets game that night) but have spent a lot of time practicing in the backyard. I now have a nice dirt pitchers mound as well as a nice dirt batting box right here in my backyard. Just from all the wear in those spots– and no grass will grow there ever again. Someone once told me the expression "I’m raising boys, not grass". So true- gotta love that!

the coo communion
One more communion for ya…but the season isn’t over yet! And I’m trying to catch up as much as possible.
You may recognize this family from a shoot at their house back in February. Had a great time with them yet again (well, I had a great time. I think Dad and son (and Grandpa this time too!) really have had it with me and my camera!) and hit my favorite place up at church for some portraits.
Another one of those odd 6 degrees type situations…one of the guests at the party (who is the mom’s cousin) ends up being back in the band that I’ve been doing lots of work for- The Turn. He apparently had been in the band, left for a while, and then came back. So I saw him at the communion (even though I didn’t know who he was at the time) and then again a few nights later IN the band. Small world, huh?

so busy…so thank you all
Everything is just exploding business wise! Which is so great, but dosen’t leave much time for anything else right now. Trying to remain calm and stay on top of everything (the kids, the family, the business, the house, the laundry, the school, the friends, the other jobs at the SAT place and teaching scrapbooking, and the everything else) and finding it very difficult.
As for business, thank you to everyone for their patience. I am getting backlogged so I am not able to answer emails and edit pictures as quickly as I would like, so thank you for hanging in there with me. I guess the bsquared word is spreading, and I really appreciate all of the business you are all sending my way! Really!! But you do know that this means that if you (my wonderful, faithful blog reading clients) want me to be there with camera in hand for your special event or if you have a date in mind for a shoot…BOOK AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE!!! I really can’t stress this enough. I don’t want all of my original clients to lose their spots. Just lookin out for ya!
I am working on editing one more Communion, then I have to edit the pictures I took of the band The Turn last night at a show (which, by the way, was ROCKIN!!). Tommorrow (well, today now I guess) I am shooting a wedding and Sunday a family shoot. For those of you who know me, you know how much I loathe being behind…but I can’t do more than I’m doing.
And since a post is pretty worthless without a picture, here is one that I just adore. To me, it just says SPRING, baby!

the dev communion & christening
Wow, talk about two birds with one stone! Two beautiful girls from this family shared their special day- one made her First communion, and one had her christening. Lots of white puffy, fluffy, pretty dresses! Such a great family (with a dad who has great taste in colleges- Go Canes!) and everyone is really as sweet as could be. Just did a few portraits to commemorate the occasion(s).

the arl communion
Saturday afternoon I was lucky to photograph the arl communion. This is a great group of people that I have gotten to work with many times already (and who have given me many new clients). The youngest boy took a fall on the way over to take the portraits and was pretty upset, so from then on he wanted NOTHING to do with me. Mom is so cool about stuff like that and realized there was nothing we could do about it. (I did offer chocolate, but it just wasn’t cutting it). So he’s not in too many of the shots.
What everyone else lacked in enthusiasm for me and my camera, mom made up for! More than enough for everyone. She loves getting her picture taken. How many people can you say that about? I guess it dosen’t hurt that she’s gorgeous and modelish-tall with matching modelish legs.
The communion recepient is as cute as ever (loved the matching Brooks Brothers tie to his daddy & his brother) and was a good sport. But, in the end, he was pretty done with me too. But I did get some great ones of him on his special day. Handsome! Album on the left. Click on any image to see it bigger.
