manhasset hockey
We’ve been trying to coordinate this game shoot for a few months- celebrating the end of my clients’ sons’ Manhasset Varsity Hockey careers. Unfortunately, we couldn’t work it out before this game due to scheduling conflicts and also unfortunately, they lost this game which was a playoff game- so this ended up being their last one. They did score some great goals though! It was definitely challenging shooting something as fast moving as hockey, but i loved it!! You know how I love some hockey!! I do, however, need those holes in the glass like they have at NHL games for the photographers. Good luck to all the boys heading to college next year, especially to number 2- the captain and to number 15- the assistant captain; my clients since they were soooo little!

the ega family
I think most of our previous shoots have been at the beach, so this was a nice change of pace for this family with fall foliage. They even brought their dog along! Black dogs are notioriously hard to photograph, but he was adorable and even though he just looks like he only has a tongue, he’s still super photogenic. And watching their older son come along so well is so heartwarming!

the conn family
It was freezing the day I took these pictures but everyone was such troupers (well, there was a little drama to be honest, but we muddled thru!) but you would never know it looking at the photos. So, mission accomplished!! Enjoy these cutie sisters and the beautiful fall foliage!

devin’s bat mitzvah
My third bar/bat mitzvah for this awesome family-and Devin did just just as awesome as her older brother and sister. Shot this in the fall (remember pretty colors?!) but didn’t want to post it before the holidays so their Christmas card would still be a surprise. And yes, Christmas card with bat mitzvah pictures. This is why they are my kind of people!

“honoree” kathy {aka my friend with the megawatt smile}
This is my friend Kathy. Concert buddy, math tutor, PTA president, Deputy Mayor, friend to many, community activist, sister, mom to two, wife to one, breast cancer survivor- now times TWO! But always, always smiling. She has that kind of smile that lights up a room (literally) and a laugh to match. She’s always a joy to be around and really is a ray of light. Unfortunately, this is her second go round with breast cancer (like cmon, once wasn’t bad enough?!) so right before her surgery I basically bullied her into doing a photoshoot with me. If you know me, you know I bully the shit out of the people I love because I know they’ll be happy eventually that they did the thing I think they should do. And they are! So we took some pictures just at her house before she went under the knife again. I’m happy to report she’s doing really well, is up and around and back to her totally insane schedule (mostly). And because she’s such a bright light that others can always count on, she’s being honored at the RVC Breast Cancer Coalition Gala on March 11th. I’ll be there to photograph the gala, so be sure to check back for those after the event. I’m so proud of my friend! There are still tickets available so I hope to see you there!
