the owen family
I know I say this every year when I post their session, but without this family I wouldn’t even HAVE a photography business. I’ve known mom (she was the big boys Coach at CATS when they were 2 years old!) for more than 19 years now. I’ve been photographing them when they were just a family of 3, then a family of 4 and now 5 plus the floofiest dog everrrrr. I love them so much and mom & dad are obviously way more to me than just clients. They are amazing people who do anything for anyone they love, they show up! I’m lucky to have them in our lives! Not to mention how ridiculously photogenic they all are.

pandemic purchases & pastimes {part 3- skin care}
Another installment of my fake influencer pandemic purchases and pastimes. Because there is nothing to freaking do (still) and there are so many hours to kill in a day, I started actually taking care of my skin last year. Well, all of that and the fact that I’m officially old as shit and wrinkly. Ya know, like an added bonus. So with alllllll the other things in the nighttime routine, I’ve added in this awesome facial cleanser from Beautycounter, used with the vibrating facial cleansing brush, and then followed by Beautycounter’s Countertime Supreme Cream and Countertime Eye Renewal Cream. Then I use the rose quartz roller & gua sha for a few minutes. My skin has honestly never felt better- so soft!! I don’t know how much it’s helping with the wrinkles and jowls, but it’s certainly not hurting and the gua sha and roller feel so freaking great. If you use the gua sha, I definitely reccomend doing so on very moisturized skin with either the products listed above or a facial oil. You can check out YouTube videos on best use. Hope this helps! Oh, and if you’re buying from Beautycounter, please use my consultant Annie Sullivan. She’s the bomb and knows her shit- plus I love supporting other women in small business!

the noeb family
Just love this crew! We’ve been baseball friends for a while now and Dad and I have our own weird relationship that consists of mostly complaining, NOT discussing baseball, and being German & Jewish. They now have more dogs (not at the shoot, but at home) than they do children in their house. It’s kinda like anarchy, but cute anarchy. Dad was not at all pleased about the whole photoshoot thing, but I yelled at him until he sucked it up and did a good job. And the kids were great, especially Miss E. She says my cutest car ever is my Barbie car. How do you not love that?

the nava family
Its been quite a few years since the mom of this crew was in my scrapbook class! I was so happy to be photographing them even though we don’t scrapbook anymore- I hope the pictures will still be put to good use! The kids are super grown up which is so weird to me, since I just remember seeing them as babies in class. And it was an added bonus since we shot at their church grounds which has special meaning to them.

Check out these handsome boys who really dislike having their picture taken! They faked it well for me and I even got some genuine smiles. I’ve been photographing them for a few years now and we’ve come to an understanding I think- the faster you real smile, the faster we’re done! They’re a very nice family that I enjoying seeing and catching up with every year- and we have the three boys thing in common too! Loved their fall colors and the fall colors we had that day.
