the ciav family
I haven’t seen this crew in a few years, but I was so happy to have them in front of my camera again! The littlest guy was probably around 1 last session and newly walking, so it was quite a difference from then! Love all the fun personalities in this family with lots of giggles and hugs.

catie & austin get married {the portraits}
The portraits from a wedding are usually my favorite part to shoot and edit- this wedding was no exception! The East Wind was such a lovely backdrop for night pictures with a stunning sunset in the background (I didn’t do anything to the sky in photoshop- it really looked like that!), and the portraits at the church were so gorgeous with amazing light. Bet you didn’t think we took those in a parking lot, but we did! And the carousel with Catie in her nod to Mary Poppins in her red corset was so fun, especially since I’m a huge Disney girl too! Only one more portion of this wedding to edit; the reception. Those coming soon, stay tuned.

the cast family
Even though I photograph them every year, I’m never allowed to post their pictures. Which kills me a little because they are all SO gorgeous (not to mention, sweet, smart, kind, funny, etc). But I did manage to get permission for posting one picture only and one is better than none, right!? So to brighten your day with beautiful people on a beach, here ya go.

the bodk family
Now that Christmas card season has passed (for the most part- i’m sure there will still be some stragglers along the way) I can start posting sessions from the fall. I didn’t want to give away any surprises. It’s actually really nice revisiting fall sessions now, seeing color and pretty settings because looking out the window now it’s back to all brown and gray. Blergh. Anyway, here’s one of my longtime and favorite crews. They’re always a pleasure to photograph, especially after the boys loosen up in front of the camera.

kenneth & sarah get engaged!
Right after Christmas, I got to be stealth/ninja photographer and photograph Kenneth proposing to Sarah in Astoria Park! Kenneth got in touch to see if we could work it out where I could capture the proposal itself on the downlow and then stay for a few family/engagement photos afterwards. Between Kenneth and Sarah’s friend Chelsea, we worked out all the details and were able to totally get it done seamlessly. It was awesome!! Sarah was definitely totally surprised and so happy!! And then as another surprise, both Kenneth’s and Sarah’s families were in hiding in the park too and popped up right after the big moment for hugs, congratulations and champagne. It was a perfect shoot to end 2020 on a high note. Wishing Kenneth & Sarah all the happiness in the world!
